The Drukpa Mila Center has been established by Lama Karma Namgyel in the tradition of the Drukpa Kagyu Lineage of Buddhism from Bhutan.
The purpose for creating the center is to bridge the religious cultures from the areas of the East including Bhutan, Tibet, India and Nepal to the West. This includes bringing Buddhist teachers from the Drukpa Kagyu and other lineages to the Drukpa Mila Center to share their spiritual wisdom, knowledge and compassion.
Meditation practices of important Buddhist days are done regularly by Lama Karma and those interested in attending. Regular meditation practices are also done at the center. Other support activities are available for meditation practitioners including astrological divinations, healing ceremonies, prayer pujas, house/business blessings, filling statues with mantras and making tormas.
Classes in Tibetan including reading, writing and speaking are offered through the Center. Please contact the Center for more details. There will be also classes offered for instruction to help develop and deepen meditation practices and understanding of spiritual philosophies. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend activities at the Center.
We are especially grateful to His Holiness Ngawang Tenzin Rinpoche from Bhutan for consecrating this center and allowing us to provide a USA tour for him. We look forward to being involved with other projects with him as well as those of other spiritual teachers in our efforts to promote the building of the bridge of spiritual wisdoms and cultural understandings from the East to West.
